 A behind the scenes snapshot.... Last week I headed up north to Manchester, the city where my photography journey began back in 2010. That 'Beast from the East' certainly wasn't going to stop me from taking part in Anna Hardy's Family Photography Workshop - The Roost. Well what a bloomin' marvellous way to spend a freezing cold winter's day, with lots of like minded photographers & creative souls - oh & lots of cups of tea! It was great to meet some more female photographers and hear the different journeys & routes everyone had taken into the world of photography. Anna's passion & creative energy was striking and made me feel super inspired. My brain box has been buzzing ever since with new ideas & ways I would like to develop my own photographic pursuits further - forever evolving. As well as feeling inspired & raring to do my own family shoots, I left the workshop with a lot of practical information which I'm ready to put in motion. The lovely Zoe & Baby Etty joined us in the afternoon for a live photo session. It was fab to see how Anna works with available light and I was able to get some top tips on capturing the important moments, expressions & connections. I'm looking forward to photographing more family portraits into 2018-2019, as I love being able capture the memories to tell a story that you can cherish forever.
