"Sunday 26th April 2020 We were all worried about my Grandma spending her birthday in self-isolation at home with just her pet dog Ozzie for company. So we came up with a little plan to brighten her day which involved the love and kindness from her dear neighbours...." My Grandma's neighbours have been looking out for her since the lockdown began and doing shopping trips for her. My family and I are so grateful for their love and support through this worrying time. So yesterday the neighbours came out into the street and sang happy birthday to her which was a massive surprise for her – I think she’s still getting over the shock! I decided to capture the heart-warming moment, using a long lens to get the pictures from a safe distance. I also recruited the help of a local wedding florist Becky of Elder & Wild, who put together a special bouquet of seasonal British blooms that we left out on her doorstep, The added bonus was that the Nottingham Post have published this happy story today's publication of the Nottinghamshire Post - another surprise for my Grandma Betty. Below are a few of my favourite snapshots from this heart warming moment. I've also included some detailed photos of the beautiful gift bouquet Becky created. If you're looking for a talented florist to create your wedding blooms or would like to order a gift bouquet for a loved one, then I cant recommend Elder & Wild highly enough! Thank you to everyone who helped Grandma have a wonderful and memorable birthday, despite the lock down!
